SOBA reconnects the roots of Mandinka music with the blues of the Mississippi Delta. Their rustic yet radiant afroblues explores the depths of the human soul. SOBA means "big house" in Dioula, the Mandinka language spoken mainly in Burkina Faso—a place of gathering, friendship and community. The trio follows in the footsteps of African griots and Mississippi blues musicians who, with simple means, created deeply moving performances.
