Diego Villegas is one of the most outstanding instrumentalists on today’s flamenco scene, renowned for his remarkable versatility as a saxophonist, flautist, harmonica player and clarinetist, as well as for his work as a composer and arranger. His style naturally blends flamenco, jazz, Cuban music, classical music and singer-songwriter traditions, reflecting the rich musical heritage of Andalusia.
In 2016, he released his debut album, Bajo de guía, which established him on prestigious festival and concert stages. In 2020, he premiered CINCO at the Seville Flamenco Biennial, where he received the Giraldillo Award for Best Flamenco Instrumentalist. He has collaborated with artists such as Sara Baras, Estrella Morente and Javier Ruibal, performing in leading international theatres.
He is currently working on his third album, Derrotero. His career is distinguished by deep musical sensitivity and a constant drive for artistic exploration.
