Able to take the harmonica to surprising new limits, Joan Pau Cumellas is one of Spain’s most outstanding performers. A passionate and dedicated student of the instrument, he expands its boundaries with a unique versatility in styles such as blues, gypsy jazz, and bluegrass. He has released numerous albums and performs at the top harmonica events across Europe.
This year, we open the Calella Harmonica Festival on September 11, Catalonia’s National Day (La Diada). To mark the occasion, Joan Pau Cumellas and the Band will join the Cor Essència from Aula de Música Can Llobet in a Catalan Pop Rock concert, directed by Lourdes Bartrolí.
The Festival will also close with a performance by the Cece Giannotti Band & Joan Pau Cumellas (Italy–Canada–Catalonia).
